Terms and conditions

1. Preamble and Agreement

Any transaction, reservation, or use of our facilities and Platforms (website and mobile app) constitutes full and unconditional acceptance by the client of these Terms and Conditions. The client acknowledges having read and understood these conditions before finalizing their purchase or reservation.

2. Pricing and Crowd Management

  • Pricing Variability: Prices are dynamic and subject to change without notice. They vary based on seasonality, the day of the week, and the time of day. As part of promotional offers, personalized or different prices may be offered to various clients for the same services during the same period.
  • High Traffic Periods: “Weekend” rates apply to public holidays (national and provincial), the Holiday Season (from 10 days before December 25 to 10 days after January 1), and school Spring Break weeks.
  • Acknowledgment of Attendance: Spa Le Finlandais is a renowned destination. By choosing to visit us during peak periods, the client acknowledges that the experience takes place in a shared social environment. Attendance levels may influence the flow of access to facilities. These variations are inherent to the nature of the service and do not constitute a service failure.

3. Access to Facilities and Service Continuity

  • Capacity and Waiting Times: The Spa manages access according to current safety standards. Admission guarantees access to the overall thermal experience but does not guarantee the instantaneous availability of every pool, sauna, or locker. Waiting periods may occur during peak times, particularly for locker room access.
  • Maintenance: Hygiene measures or technical interventions may require the temporary closure of a specific facility. The closure of one or more facilities does not entitle the client to any discount or compensation, provided that the majority of the site’s facilities remain functional.

4. Reservations, Payments, and Security

  • Guarantee: To confirm a reservation, valid credit card details are required. Unless otherwise stated or for group bookings, no amount is charged at the time of reservation; the card serves exclusively as a guarantee. Payment is made upon arrival during your visit.
  • Identity Verification: For your security and to validate transactions, Spa Le Finlandais may require the presentation of the credit card used for an online purchase, as well as a valid photo ID upon arrival.
  • Cancellation Policy (Indemnity):
    • Thermal Experience only: No cancellation fees.
    • Treatments and Massages: A notice of more than 24 hours is required. In the event of a late cancellation (less than 24 hours) or a no-show, the full amount of the treatment will be charged to the guarantee card as a fixed indemnity to compensate for the loss of availability of the scheduled time slot.

5. Gift Certificates (Gift Cards)

Note: The terms “gift certificate” and “gift card” are used interchangeably.

  • Activation: Gift certificates purchased via our Platforms or in person generally cannot be used on the day of purchase. A minimum delay of 24 hours may be required for activation.
  • Validity: A certificate for a specific service guarantees that service and its price for one year (12 months). After this period, it retains its original monetary value in perpetuity, but the client must pay the difference if the price of the service has increased. Gift certificates are non-redeemable and non-refundable.
  • Usage: Certificates can be used partially or applied as face value toward another service. Any residual balance remains on the card.
  • Security: Only the original (physical or source email) is accepted. Screenshots are refused.

6. Specific Conditions

  • Age Requirements: The minimum age to access the baths (thermal experience) and individual treatments is 16 years old. For individuals under the age of 16 receiving a massage, the presence of a parent or legal guardian is required in the treatment room for the entire duration of the service.
  • Arrival: To fully enjoy your thermal experience, we suggest arriving 30 minutes before your scheduled time. If you have a treatment booked, please arrive at least one hour early to fill out your health profile and settle in. Your treatment includes complimentary full-day access to our facilities.
  • Dress Code: Swimsuits are mandatory in the thermal experience areas. Towels and sandals are mandatory throughout your visit to Spa Le Finlandais.
  • Rentals and Sales: Towels and bathrobes are available for rent at the reception. Sandals and swimsuits are also available for purchase in our boutique.
  • Lockers: Lockers are provided free of charge. They are secured by a lock; the key (in the form of a bracelet) is provided to you and must be returned to reception upon departure. Lockers must be left open when leaving. Spa Le Finlandais is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Food: Outside food and drinks are not permitted on the Spa site.

7. On-site Conduct

  • Calm & Reporting: Guests are required to speak in low voices. Any client whose peace is disturbed has the obligation to report it immediately to the reception. No retrospective recourse will be considered if the Spa was not given the opportunity to intervene at the time.
  • Electronic Devices: Phone use is permitted in a discreet manner. Phone conversations and listening to music without headphones are strictly prohibited.
  • Privacy: We encourage social media sharing; however, it is strictly forbidden to take photos or videos of other guests without their explicit consent.
  • Liability: The Spa declines all responsibility for the loss, forgetfulness, or theft of personal items (including lockers and parking).
  • Right of Expulsion: The Spa reserves the right to expel, without refund, any person whose behavior interferes with safety or quietude (e.g., shouting, intoxication).

8. Loyalty Programs and Promotions

  • My Loyalty Rewarded: On the day of your visit (Thermal Experience and/or treatment), you may purchase a certificate for a future visit with the following discounts:
    • $10 off a Thermal Experience certificate.
    • $25 off a 60-minute massage certificate (Valid only for: Swedish Relaxation, Swedish Firm Pressure, Therapeutic, and Le Finlandais Facial).
  • Black Friday and Cyber Monday: During these periods, the $10 discount applies to the Thermal Experience and the $25 discount applies only to the following 60-minute massages: Swedish Relaxation, Firm Pressure, Therapeutic, and Hot Stone (90 min). These offers are non-redeemable for cash, non-exchangeable, and cannot be combined with other promotions.
  • Exclusions: Third-party cards (e.g., WaySpa) are not accepted.

9. Contest Rules (General)

Unless otherwise stated, Spa contests are subject to the following:

  • Eligibility: Permanent residents of Quebec of legal age. Employees and their immediate family are excluded.
  • Entry: Official form required. Acceptance of cookies may be necessary.
  • Prizes: Non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash, and non-exchangeable. Must be used during normal business hours.
  • Claims: Winners contacted by email/phone within 5 business days. If unreachable, the prize is forfeited. Signature of a release form is required.
  • Publicity: Winners authorize the Spa to use their name, image, and voice for advertising purposes without compensation.
  • Modifications: The Spa reserves the right to cancel or modify a contest due to circumstances beyond its control.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platforms (logos, text, images) is the exclusive property of Spa Le Finlandais. Any reproduction without written authorization is prohibited.
